(Only open to Giles and Leo!!)
She felt glad it was night time. Tonight she wore a rather plain outfit rather than the elegant ones she had been wearing lately. A pair of black dress pants adorned her bottom half (They had thin white pinstripes). She wore a pretty blue silk dress shirt, her feet were in black pumps a moderate sized purse hung over her left shoulder, filled with bloodbags and a glass. Hair was pulled into an updo tonight, as she walked around the Shopping district, and a shop name caught her eye "..Pandora's box.." She tilted her head, then opened it out of sheer curiousity. She hadn't seen this store before so she wanted to take a look. "I wonder what kind of things they sell.."
As she entered the storefront, a bell tinkled gently somewhere, Samantha's deep blue gaze was narrowed thoughtfully, she hadn't drinken yet tonight, but she wasn't about to yank out a bloodbag and the glass she had brought with her in the middle of a human-owned store..or at least she assumed it was owned by a human.

From now on it would be a new Slayer, new jobs and in all honestly he assumed that this one would be harder then the last one. Sunnydale had been a hotspot, but this was, certainly by his findings a Hellmouth. Not to mention there were many other Slayers and Watchers here so he would have to be careful to not get in anyones way and cause rifts. The last thing the Council needed was trouble among their own people. Leaving the Magic Box had been heartbreaking in so many ways, but Buffy and the Scoobies needed to grow without him and the Councils decision was final. He was lucky to find such a good shop in such a prime position too. One could only hope that it would grant him as high a profit margin.
The shelves had been put up the day before and the walls had been painted a cool navy blue. He was sure he would need a good color for the curtains, couches, etc but since he figured he would get killed by any of the visiting Scoobies if he made it too libraryish by making them brown and darkening the room, he was at a loss about what to put. He was currently in the process of putting his extensive book collection into the Library as the back of the shop. The training room had been finished the day before and his own apartment (Above the shop) would be finished once the shop and back-rooms were set up. However this was proving to be a difficult task as filling the library brought books to Giles attention that he hadn't seen in years and he often stopped to re-read slowing the process beyond belief.
He had been sent to Mortalitas to take on a new apprentice, and while he looked forward to the challenge, he missed the group who had become as much like children to him as his Slayer and since leaving he had been bombarded by phone calls prompting him to think that not all technology was bad, as letters didn't give you as heartwarming a feeling as a giggling phone call did. The bell tinkled on the door. Prompting first annoyance then confusion in the man. The bloody bell was too high and grated on his nerves as it rang as soon as he could he was going to the local hardware store to buy a duller sounding one and then he realized first of all the door should be locked. Dropping down from the ladder with the agility of a man much younger then him (Granted by continuous training) he moved into the front room cleaning his dusty hands with a nearby cloth. "Good afternoon" He said greeting the young girl in a warm voice. "I'm afraid we're not open quite yet, but if you want to have a look around feel free as I can't deny an interested customer." He stated unwilling to let her leave the shop since his senses had gone into over drive as soon as he had seen her, yet he sensed no danger from her....curious.. Looking around the room he decided that Golden curtains would add to the room, but deciding the color of the shelves was difficult..

Gaze watched the older male jump down the ladder in moderate astonishment, then her senses picked something up. This human was unusual. She tilted her head curiously as he spoke, the calm tone making her feel a bit on edge. A Watcher. Great, of all the things to walk into she had to walk into a Watcher's store.
A moderate frown appeared on her face and she felt her bloodlust rise just a bit, enough to stain the bright blue of her gaze red just around her pupil. She felt her canines sliding out, becoming longer, and she mentally slapped herself for even thinking of attacking a human-and a watcher at that. She gazed around, and walked over to a small stack of shelves, pumps clicking mutely on the floor. She offered him a smile, being careful not to show her fangs just in case he got the wrong idea. She inclined her head to him with a quiet 'thank you' and started looking around.
"You have a very calming color in this store" She commented. "Blue is always good for keeping people interested, I would suggest sapphire or teal curtains to cover the edges of the windows, it would be a nice addition to the theme I can see" Her voice was low and dulcet. She was a vampire, but it seemed she was totally in control. Turning away so that her back was to the Watcher, she opened a baggie and poured it into the glass, she swirled the blood around a bit, making sure it was just right, and took a sip after crumpling the AB+ bag up and tossing it into a garbage can.
A little sigh escaped her and she turned, smiling at Giles "When are you scheduled to open?" She inquired, the red ring around her pupils disappearing as she took another sip of her drink. She only hoped that he would realize what she was drinking, so he wouldn't tell her that drinks weren't allowed in the store. She took another sip, licking her lips free of the red liquid. "And you have quite an interesting name for this place..Pandora's box.." She mused and leaned softly against a wall, being careful of the stuff on the shelves. It seemed this woman wasn't your typical Vampire, she had learned at a young age to control her bloodlust, but she never did like the whole biting into someone's neck, it was far too hard to do sometimes and much too barbaric for Samantha's tastes.

He couldn't explain why, couldn't fathom the reason behind it. Well besides he'd been woken from his sleep earlier then usual, and found out that something had taken up residence he didn't really want near to his own apartment block. Maybe this was why the dhampir had hit Pandora's Box area on his night time patrol earlier.
Or maybe it was merely to do with a sub-concious memory. A memory of what Giles had said. He didn't really know if he was honest. Also if he was honest he didn't really care too much. All he knew was this area stank of vampires. And he'd had one manage to sink fangs into him. That had only pissed him off more. Oh they'd been given his finest, a swift kick and an even swifter hello goodbye from a bullet. But it didn't stop him being pissed off now.
And a pissed off Dhampir was never a good sign. No it just made him want to kill vampires and other scum even more. Besides, someone had to get revenge for his poor wrecked coat. I mean a stinkin Lycan, yeh he could ALMOST understand them been so mangey and stinking and stupid. A very stupid blink emerged as he saw someone literally just explode after a fit of rage. Okay that was...new.
He couldn't quite explain that. I mean it wasn't like he'd encountered anything that could well....make people just spontaneously explode. It normally took well...explosives. He was pretty sure that it wasn't one of those suicide bombers. So it had to be something else. He looked about himself brought out of his little episode of anger earlier then he'd ever expected. Well the area stank of Vampire, but Vampire can't make people explode like that...unless it was mutant baby things then yes that could happen but no he was sure they don't spray their innards that look remarkably human everywhere.
Okay....there was Pandora's box. Giles he remembered ran the place. Looks like a night to speak to him. Of course he was totally oblivious to the fact he'd ended up getting a bit of blood sprayed on him. Slowly he pushed the door open upper lip curling, yep vampire stink stronger. Right where has his guns? |
