Desmond held a small piece of paper in his right hand as he traveled down the sidewalk. White Tudor style homes were lined in a row, some looked better than others. Many home owners had taken the time to care for their gardens and maintain their homes while others let their houses rot. Desmond could not stand those type of people, he took pride in his home and could not fathom how someone else could not. Granted, maybe a frail old woman lived in a dilapidated corner house and could barely walk outside never mind get out to mow her lawn, but still, it annoyed him to no end. Luckily, Dez did not have to put up with neighbors where he lived.
On the piece of paper he held, there was a house number. He was looking for the residence of Elanor Donauge. She was another Slayer he had to make contact with. Donauge... Donauge... Where had he heard that name before... D. Donauge.. Daniel? Daniel Donauge. The name had popped into his head from memory. Desmond had not spoken to Daniel in a long while. Daniel was a fellow Watcher, the two had met and sat beside each other in a few meetings, but he had no real sense of what type of man Daniel was. He seemed alright though. If Desmond's hunch was correct, Daniel was Elanor's brother. Dez was hoping Daniel mentioned something to Elanor about her being a Slayer or at least explained what a Watcher did. That would have made the house call so much easier.
Desmond eventually found the house he was looking for. It looked like the rest of the houses on the street. It had little curb appeal, but it was not badly maintained either. He made his way up to the front door and uttered a silent prayer for Elanor to be there.
He reached out to press the door bell then waited.
