Introduction
Vampires are among the oldest creatures to walk the earth. They've been around for centuries. They gain their powers in many ways, but all have a weakness to the sun. They can, for the most part, be killed by a slayers stake, or a bullet if its the right type. Still these are creatures to be feared.
Why? Because they're powerful. They're also intelligent enough to know this, making them into a dangerous adversary to face indeed.

The Gain of Powers
How Vampires gain powers is often much debated. Namely as there's two paths this can take. The first path is the rarest and takes a sire who has become almost too powerful. Whoever he or she turns gets some of their powers but not all. This rarely happens in these days and times, the slayer normally stakes most vampires before they can get to that level of power.
The second path is far more common, where they gain their powers by aging. The older the vampire the more experienced they are. The more experienced they are the more powerful they are. Due to slayers though few vampires grow beyond the young punk stage.

Feeding
Vampires have only one source of food they need everyday. Blood. Yeh they'll eat and drink normal foods, but this doesn't do much for them. Most Vampires have a preference for human blood, but some drink the blood of other Vampires who they count as beneath them in morals. Very few feed off of rats, or other animals, but they're normally the weakest of the weak. Frail and sickly they often get turned on by their own kind, if a hunter don't get them first.
